Hello everyone! I was born in Arizona while my dad was in medical school so I guess medicine is in my blood. We moved up to Boise, Idaho when I was 6 and Boise is what I consider as my hometown. I spent much of my childhood enjoying the great outdoors of Idaho with my family, hiking, skiing and boating in the mountains. I attended Westmont College in Santa Barbara for my undergraduate studies and went on to medical school at Loma Linda University where my brother is currently a 4th year medical student.
I am incredibly thankful to be doing Family Medicine Residency here at VCMC. This program embodies everything that I am excited about in medicine: continuity, community, and comprehensive care. I am looking forward to graduating with a broad skillset to care for the underserved in any practice environment whether rural, urban or international.
Outside of the hospital I enjoy running, cycling, volleyball, camping and pretty much anything else outdoors. I am also learning to surf although it usually feels more like paddling/floundering than surfing for me… On a personal note I am a follower of Jesus and passionate about using medicine to serve others in His name. Thanks for checking us out!
