UC San Diego
Growing up the son of a Family Physician provided me with a strong foundation. I learned through him the importance of compassionate care and the value of time in relationships. To this day he still practices in Napa Valley, where I grew up, in the same office building.
I was fortunate enough to move away at 18 to attend college in southern California. I was initially interested in studying music and sound engineering, but despite my efforts the call to become a physician was to strong. I completed a post-baccalaureate pre-medical program at USC prior to attending UCSD for medical school.
My decision to come to VCMC was the result of many things. Most importantly I wanted to practice full spectrum family medicine, that is, do everything! My belief is that we benefit the most when we have a primary care physician that can guide us through the now increasingly complex medical world.
When not at the hospital or in clinic I enjoy spending time with my 2 boys, Grady and Oliver. As it happens with 2 boys close in age, we mostly spend our days outside playing sports, or inside wrestling around. You may see us around town at the park, the zoo, or swimming in the ocean.
