Northeastern Ohio Medical University
I was born and raised in Columbus, Ohio, by two family physician parents. After high school, I followed in their footsteps and pursued medicine through a combined medical program at the University of Akron and Northeast Ohio Medical University.
During medical school, I collaborated with medical students worldwide through the International Federation of Medical Students’ Associations, volunteered at our local migrant worker clinic, and spent a year in Paraguay studying ethics committees in health research. These experiences instilled a strong desire to work in underserved settings and a sense of community with health-care professionals around the globe.
I chose family medicine because I love its emphasis on treating the whole patient rather than the illness. I wanted to train at a program emphasizing full spectrum care, including surgical obstetrics, emergency medicine, critical care, and inpatient medicine. VCMC Family Medicine provides strong training in all of the above and more, truly preparing its residents to practice in any setting.
In my free time, I enjoy cooking, reading, traveling, and spending time with family, friends, and my Paraguayan rescue cat, Humo. I also love exploring everything that Ventura has to offer, particularly the proximity to great spots for hiking, kayaking, and of course the beach!
